Vergina
Today was our excursion to Vergina, the archaeological site which is the former capital of the Macedonia region and where many kings were buried. It was there that Philip II was assassinated, when his son, Alexander the Great, was only 20 years old. At this point, Alexander became ruler. Just ask Colin Farrell about it. :)
I have a lot of other cool information, not to mention many many photos to put up, but at the moment I am in a hurry because I am going to Athens tonight. Our train leaves at 23:00 and arrives tomorrow morning at 7:30 or so. There are a number of us going and it was kind of a last minute decision to go tonight and not tomorrow morning dictated by the fact that the only trains for tomorrow were the express trains which are a lot more expensive. I’d be all for that, but we haven’t all budgeted our money the same.
I’ll be out of touch until I get back either Sunday night or Monday. I will let everyone know how it goes and I will take many more photos. I have the storage capacity to take about 750 photos, so I don’t think I need my computer with me. Cheers.
