Finally

I have finally bought my new desk that I have been waiting for since my birthday early May. It is a fair bit different than the desk that I had envisioned, but it is bigger and considerably more capable of handling my computer related needs. I think. It is a corner desk, but I think that I will have it in my living room so that I can pretend that I have a reception desk. It is supposed to arrive on Wednesday between 6 and 10 pm.

I also finally found the SmartMedia card reader that I have been “looking for” for a long time. I checked it out and it does work with my laptop. When I was in Staples talking to the sales guy about the card readers I mentioned that I wanted it for an Apple computer - a laptop. He had asked me if I wanted one of the builtin models that read all popular formats and are mounted in an empty drive bay. I then mentioned that my camera didn’t work with my laptop to which he said, that’s what you get for buying a Mac. At this point I’m thinking to myself, what do you get for being a soul-less prick? But I spared him his dignity - probably because I was with my mom, I didn’t want her to see him cry like he would.

So in any case I am much happier after having getting a couple things that have been in the works for a long while. Oh and Chris - 24 points.
