Back to photo listing Marco and Dima in front of the residence waiting for the others to be ready. Marco is a friend visiting from Italy. The matador uses a coloured capote to taunt the bull. The banderillas are little flag like harpoons which are stuck into the strong shoulder and back muscles of the bull to weaken it. There were plenty of people in attendance this holiday Tuesday. The stadium hold over 25,000 people. (Daniel), Nenad, Dima, and Pablo watch from seats which were closer, but not technically theirs. :) A new bull. When they first emerge, the bulls are really quite dangerous. The picador on his armoured and blindfolded horse awaits his chance to lance the bull. As you can see, we were in the upper sections of the stadium. The matadors leaving the center — honestly I have no idea who won or lost, or what these guys were really trying to do. Marco, Pablo, Dima, Nenad, and Daniel look on as people start to leave the arena. The Plaza de Toros from the outside. This is us at the Museo del Jamon enjoying sangria and patates bravas and awaiting our sandwiches. A massive Spanish flag. Nenad, Dima and Marco "warm their hands" over one of the large lights that illuminated the monuments in the plaza. The three of them again posing for more photos. Sissi and Daniel. The Hard Rock Cafe Madrid. We didn't go inside this time, but hopefully we will make ti there for dinner some night.
