Back to photo listing This is a church that is in Dikastirion Square which is very near my hotel. Fortunately I had my camera out when the huge flock of pigeons took flight. This structure is found off of Egnatia Street. This is the Arch of Galerius in Kamara which is quite near the university and very close to where I will be living in February. This is Rotonda, which according to Wikipedia is also the Tomb of Galerius. A distant look at a more modern feature of the city skyline. The Rotonda again from a wider angle. The Arch again from the other side. If my tourist map and my bearings are correct this is the Galerius Palatial Complex. I can only assume from the name that this was once a Palace either used by or dedicated to Emperor Galerius.
